Lords of Metal review for Running Out of Daylight

This is the first time I hear something by The Living Fields and I am quite impressed hearing this CD and knowing that these guys actually haven't even met before. Okay, with today's technical possibilities it is quite easy to send each other music files, but what about those discussions about the compositions? I wonder how that is done and I respect bands that can work things out this way. The band has been around for a while and 'Running Out Of Daylight' is their second album. It's an album you should invest some time in, only after a couple of spins you get the idea what is going on. Basically this is doom/death metal in the vein of Paradise Lost but The Living Fields added more influences into their music and the use of strings make this a treasure. When you're open to music that is progressive and that knows how to crossover between styles in a great way you definitely have to listen to this one.

Grade: 81/100
